Does any other person have chicken tender fixated youngsters? My children completely love them and the more lower the nature of piece the better in their eyes! We do make chicken tenders a considerable amount at home yet as of late I've begun making these Cauliflower Nuggets as well, with an end goal to eat somewhat less meat and for the most part get the children eating more veggies.

I must be straightforward and disclose to you that my children are not the greatest aficionados of cauliflower but rather they do eat cauliflower cheddar so I figured I would make these pieces very mushy and by and large more child neighborly!

They are extremely simple to make despite the fact that you do require a nourishment processor to combine every one of the fixings. You could have a go at cutting the cauliflower up finely and blending the various fixings by hand, yet the surface might be somewhat extraordinary and unquestionably not as smooth.

The chunks are very delicate, which means they are impeccable finger nourishment for little children and infants. On the off chance that you lean toward them to be fresh, at that point you could generally move them in an additional covering of breadcrumbs and fry them instead of prepare them.

INGREDIENTS

  • 350g / 12oz cauliflower
  • 50g / 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 100g / 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp mixed dried herbs

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 200c / 390f and line a baking tray with parchment paper or a silicone non-stick mat.
  2. Chop the cauliflower into small pieces and cook it by either boiling or steaming it, which ever is your preference.
  3. Once the cauliflower has cooked add it to a food processor and blitz until it has broken down into small pieces. Add the rest of the ingredients and blitz again just enough until they are all combined. You don’t want to over-blitz the mixture!
  4. Place one large spoon of the mixture at a time onto the baking tray and mould into a round shape. I make about 12 nuggets from this but it will depend on what size you want them to be.
  5. Bake in the oven for 12-14 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving as this will help them to keep their shape.
  6. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 48 hours.
